The highest quality assessments are obtained to provide triers of fact with sound opinions. A wide variety of evaluations are available. The Adult Forensic Psychiatric Evaluation Process is dependent upon the type of assessment needed. A typical psychiatric IME examination follows contemporary forensic standards. The process of evaluation for brain injuries typically requires a different protocol than a standard psychiatric evaluation, with an extensive neuropsychological assessment and neuroimaging-PET, SPECT, MRI, or CT-in addition to a laboratory psychiatric evaluation. The Forensic Evaluation of the Child requires special, age-appropriate evaluation techniques. Information for individuals who are scheduled for a forensic evaluation in our offices is provided on the Forensic Examination Guidelines page. Lexington Forensic Neuropsychiatry is located in Lexington, Kentucky, in the heart of the beautiful Bluegrass State. A map and detailed directions are available on the Location page.
