Granacher, Jr., M.D, M.B.A., received his medical degree in 1972 from the University of Kentucky, and then served as resident and chief resident in psychiatry at the University of Kentucky Hospital. He subsequently served as resident and fellow in psychiatry and psychopharmacology at the Harvard Medical School and the Massachusetts General Hospital. More recently, Dr. Granacher has obtained a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Tennessee.In 1978, Robert P. Granacher, Jr., M.D., M.B.A. established a caring and comprehensive practice to diagnose and treat mental disorders and a variety of emotional and psychological problems. He also serves as Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine since 1975. Robert P. Granacher, Jr., M.D., M.B.A., Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, serves on prominent committees of the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law, and is past Chairman of the Board of Governors of Saint Joseph Healthcare in Lexington, Kentucky, the largest private medical-surgical hospital in Kentucky east of Louisville. He is a director of CBA Pharma, Inc. He is a board member of the Kentucky Psychiatric Medical Association. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Granacher has functioned as a forensic psychiatrist since 1977. On October 1, 1996, this forensic medical practice was entitled the Lexington Forensic Institute. In 2008, it became Lexington Forensic Neuropsychiatry. In addition to Dr. Granacher, Lexington Forensic Neuropsychiatry staff members include a licensed clinical psychologist, two psychological associates, a research assistant, and a registered nurse. Lexington Forensic Neuropsychiatry specializes in the independent medical examination of personal injury, traumatic brain injury, sexual harassment, criminal, worker's compensation, and other forms of legal claims. Referrals are accepted from attorneys, insurance companies, as well as business, industry, government, and community agencies. To date, Robert P.
